How to Use Your 2027 University Prospectus
A university prospectus is the ultimate guide for any prospective student. It contains everything you need to know about studying at a specific institution. When you download a PDF prospectus for the 2027/2028 academic year from Freemode, you should look for the following key sections:
1. Admission Requirements: This is the most critical section. It will tell you the exact APS score you need, the specific high school subjects required (e.g., Mathematics vs. Mathematical Literacy), and the minimum percentage required for those subjects. Use our APS Calculator to see if you meet these requirements before applying.
2. Application Dates and Deadlines: The prospectus will list the opening and closing dates for 2027 applications. Missing these dates means you will have to wait another year. Always cross-reference these dates with our Deadlines Tracker to set reminders.
3. Course and Faculty Information: The prospectus breaks down every faculty (e.g., Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities) and lists the exact modules or subjects you will study each year. This helps you verify that the qualification matches your career goals. You can cross-reference these courses with the official SAQA Qualifications Database on Freemode.
4. Fees and Financial Aid: Tuition costs, residence fees, and application fees are detailed here. The prospectus will also outline which bursaries and NSFAS funding options are accepted by the institution.
Freemode hosts these documents locally to ensure you get fast, uninterrupted access to the information you need to plan your future.
